Knowledge of the surface properties is essential for starting the exploration steps of domestic red mud. The Micromeritics 3Flex gas adsorption analyzer made it possible to obtain morphological information about the physical properties of the treated and untreated red mud samples during the research. With this instrument, we examined the specific surface area (m2/g), pore volume (cm3/g), pore volume distribution in the range of nanometers, and also the effectiveness of acid dissolution.
